5 ways AI can save your business time

aContent on 5 ways AI can save your business time

Artificial Intelligence is often mentioned alongside huge companies like Meta and Google, but have you considered the ways it can help your business? With the rise of generative AI platforms like ChatGPT, there are plenty of ways businesses can use AI to work smarter not harder:

1. Blog Posts

One of the most effective and straight-forward ways to improve your website’s SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is to maintain an active blog. This could be a typical blog with opinion pieces, or a media centre with news updates, alerts or media releases. When we tell our clients this, the most common refrain is “We would love to, but we don’t have time.” Enter generative AI. Generative AI, such as ChatGPT, can craft engaging, relevant posts in your brand’s tone of voice, providing value for your audience, and boosting your website’s search engine ranking all at once.

2. Marketing Plan

When it comes to managing your marketing efforts, generative AI programs can be a huge help. Whether it’s conducting market research, generating content or helping to plan out your marketing strategy and schedule, ChatGPT can save hours of time. While it’s always important to combine ChatGPT's assistance with human expertise to ensure your marketing plan is aligned with your business’ goals, it can provide a great starting point for your work.

3. Website Copy

While AI can’t fully replace the critical and strategic ability of copywriters, there are plenty of useful places AI can be used on your website. For example, if you sell products which are regularly updated, you can use ChatGPT to craft the product descriptions. In addition, if you don’t have the resources for a professional copywriter, ChatGPT can create the copy for your entire website, which you can edit as needed, saving hours of time.

4. Newsletter

Platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok are at the mercy of local and international regulations, meaning that your reach and engagement on these platforms could change at any moment. For this reason, having a direct line to your customers, such as through an email newsletter, is more valuable than ever. Crafting these newsletters can be hugely time consuming, so it can pay to consider ChatGPT or a similar platform to craft your newsletters. Whether it’s finding ideas or writing the newsletter for you, ChatGPT could save so much time.

5. Imagery

5. Imagery

Platforms such as Midjourney and Adobe now offer generative AI services to create images. Whether you need to remove something from a photo, or create a piece of art from scratch, these platforms allow you to create original content so that your website and social media can be completely unique. While this might not replace stock or commissioned photography completely, it can certainly compliment them well.

To give you an idea of the potential of these programs, we entered the following prompt into Midjourney: A photo of some Golden Retriever puppies running around a field and chasing butterflies. We then used Photoshop's Generative AI tool to make the image wider. Check out the result below!

While the benefits of AI are undeniable, it's important to remember that generative AI platforms, such as ChatGPT, are in their infancy, and therefore have limitations. This, in combination with the unrestricted nature of the industry, has led to calls from experts for governments to regulate AI. In the meantime, it pays to think critically about the information AI platforms provide and, if in doubt, always do your own fact checking.
