Wollondilly Shire Council approached us while developing the brand-new Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre (PAC) in Picton, NSW. The centre was a major investment for the community, but it had no digital presence to promote events or showcase the venue. Council needed a modern, engaging website that reflected the contemporary design of the building while making it easy for locals and visitors to discover shows, book tickets, and explore venue spaces.

The Challenge
The website had to do more than look stylish - it needed to:
- Act as the digital front door to the Performing Arts Centre.
- Support event promotion, with flexible artwork options for both Council-created and promoter-supplied graphics.
- Be user-friendly and mobile-first, so visitors could quickly find and book events.
Our Approach
We followed our proven process:
- Discovery & Strategy – understanding Council’s goals and audience needs.
- Design – creating a modern interface aligned with the physical space’s architecture.
- Development – building the site on Silverstripe CMS, a secure and flexible platform.
- Testing & Launch – ensuring accessibility, responsiveness, and a smooth handover.
A key feature was a custom Events section with built-in filtering, helping users easily browse performances and find what interests them.
The Outcome
The result is a modern, secure website that positions the Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre as a cultural hub for the region. The site not only supports event promotion but also introduces the community to the Centre’s facilities and opportunities.
Since launch, the site has seen strong traffic growth, with content structured so Google could quickly index and rank event pages. As the Centre builds its reputation, the website is set up to scale with increasing demand.
